2024 MEDOC TRAILS CONSTRUCTION/RENOVATION UPDATES:

• RACE DATE: October 19, 2024

• REGISTRATION:  Will open Monday June 3 at 8:oo am and will sell out.  Please set a reminder if you really want to run.

• DISTANCES: 5-ish and 10-ish miles.

• COURSE:  Due to park renovations we are creating a unique, one year only event that will start at the park office and utilize the Weller, Saponi, Pyrite, and portions of the Bear Swamp trails.

• SIZE:  Due to the race headquarters being in a different location, we will limit the size of the event making it even more important to sign up right away.

• CAMPING:  The campgrounds are part of the renovation and will be closed.  This sadly means camping at the park will not be available this year.  There are other potential options in the area will we share shortly for those that want to still camp.

 

Many of you have never experienced these amazing well maintained trails and are in for a real treat.  While the race headquarters and trails will be different, what you’ve come to expect from Medoc will stay intact:  Great shirt, unique medals, bluegrass music, hot food, well-marked trails, finisher's surprise, crazy trail names, and most importantly a fun environment where you all feel like you’re part of a big weird family reunion.
